In my last post I talked about have endometriosis AGAIN. I was wondering if anyone has ever had a D&C for endometriosis. If so, did it help relieve any of your symptoms? I am in a lot of pain but, I'm not ready for a hysterectomy. (this is what my doctor suggested)
I've never had a D&C, but I'm pretty sure that is only applicable to inside the uterus... You could get a laparoscopy done, but if you are doing having children I recommend getting the hyster :( I know it's easier said than done - I was told when I have the children I want I need to get it all taken out - I'm 22 I was 19 when they told me that. My mom also had it. She was told when she was in her 30's to have a hyster and she didn't - she regretted it later when she had a hyster in her mid 40's. She was in so much pain all the time. No one should have to go through the pain... and since a hyster is the only way to "cure" it, I would get it done....
Hope this helps a bit.... Good luck and keep me posted....
Hi,I had laparscopy for endo in March ,hysteroscopy, and D & C,to be honest I really cant tell the difference. It did stop the heavy bleeding, and make your periods lighter. It also depends where your endo is at,my is on intestines, uterus and its supporting ligaments so I have severe pain just moving/walking.
I dont want hyster yet as I'm 30 and still want children, but everyone is different, and it might help you,I'd give it a try before drastic surgery.
