Is this endo

Hi. I have been having pelvic pain off and on but everyday.  I thought it was a uti, and everything was ruled out urology wise. My pain gets more intense before my period and during my period which my periods have been terribly painful the last 4 years.  Ibuprofen helps a little, but not much. I also have pelvic pressure at times and my bladder hurts when it gets full.  My pain is also in my back around menses, and in my leg and suprapelvic area, right lower ab.  I do have 2 children, but I also have had 2 miscarriages. I go to the gyn for an ab ultrasound next week. Any advice or comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for caring and understanding. It's been a rough 2 months dealing with doctor's and the pain.  I went orignally thinking I had a uti, and that came back neg. and then they spotted blood under the microscope.  My gynecologist had mentioned ic in which she couldn't really say, and figured that the urologist would test me for it.  The urologist says my bladder looks really when he did a scope so I guess the ic is out of the question.  She had also mentioned endometriosis as another problem that it could be.  My periods have been terrible the last few years, and I thought that it was a normal thing and that it happened with age.  I have been having a hard time sleeping at night because it's hard to get comfortable, and when I lay down it's very uncomfortable at times to lay on my stomach or sides.  I realize that stimulants really make the pain worse like caffeine.  What makes me think that it's not endo is because my 2 last periods have been shorter than the 7 days I normally have.  Before my period I have terrible cramping and the first couple days hurt really bad.  My pain has been everyday off and on and somedays are more painful then others.  I also wonder if I've had endo for quite some time, and maybe something has made it progress to being painful.  Thanks so much once again and I will definitely let you know how I come out.  I just want to feel better so bad!

The whole reason I started going to the doctor's is because I thought I had a uti, but came back negative.  Blood was found in my urine under the microscope.  I'm pretty sure that's it's something to do with my reproductive system just because my periods have been so terrible the last 4 years or so.  For the last 2 months I've had pain everyday, but off and on and somedays are terrible. I have a hard time sleeping at night, and find it very hard to get comfortable.  It bothers me to lay on my sides and my stomach at times.  My periods have always lasted at last 7 days, but the last couple have been 4 or 5 days and less bleeding so it makes me think that endo is not the reason for my pain.  Thanks so much for your response.  I have an ultrasound next week, What's the difference between endo and adenomyosis?

Hey like the previous post you may have cyst on your ovaries or it could be endo. When you go to the doc and he/she does the ultrasound and if you do not have cyst then you may want to ask him if it could be endo, because I started to go to the doctor for similar pains you are having 8 years ago and come to find out after doing a lap it was endo causing my pain. If there is a chance you have endo you need to get it treated then and don't put it off because it only gets worse. If you have a lap done to determine if you have endo the doc can burn most or all the endo you have and put you on birth control and some doc put people on lupron shots along with birth control which helps keep it dried up. If by chance you have endo and have to do these things if the doctor puts you on lupron shots they do them for 4-6 months (at least that is what my doctor told me) and they are very costly you will have to go to the pharmacy and get the shot then take to the doctor's office to get the shot and they cost around $500 per shot. I hope I was of some help. Good luck!! Let me know how  things go, if you don't mind. Would love to know how you are doing. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask me and I will try my best to answer or to give advice.

That's exactly how my symptoms started as well and I'm still trying to figure out what's going on! Two dr.'s think endo, or possibly adenomyosis. I also have a daughter, and all this stuff didn't start until after I had her. Do you feel like your getting a uti around the time of your period? Ibprofen barely helps me as well, my gyn told me to take 4 and thats all we can do right now....like I haven't been!!! Your pain could be from cysts though which you will find out from the ultrasound whether or not you have those. I don't know what else to tell you besides don't let your dr. put it off! Good luck!
