LAP proceedure

I am hoping someone can help me know what to expect when going in for my first LAP procedure. I have a 6 cm endmetrioma that has been there for almost 2 years. I am just wondering the pain and recovery time. Any help is appreciated!

Whatever you do, don't lift your children up for the entire week after surgery!! It can and will make your recovery take a lot longer! If you don't have a significant other around during that time, maybe you can arrange for a friend or relative to stay with you to help with the kids. Unless your kids weigh less than 20lbs, really really be careful about lifting them!! Nothing worse than feeling something tear inside you after surgery (trust me, I know from experience!).

Everyone is different but for me, it only took a week to be comletely recovered from the lap I had where they removed fibroids and cysts. the pain from the surgery was minimal compared to the pain I am used to getting from the endo. You will get pain meds from the hospital too, so use them wisely.

Laps are getting better and better due to advances in medical science and techhnology so the procedures are getting easier and easier to tolerate...

Good luck to you!!
