MRI and endo...

Has anyone had an MRI that saw endo or signs of endo? I have read that an MRI can detect some endo, but wondered if anyone has had it happen or knows of it happening?

Endo will not show up on a MRI the only thing that the doctors can confirm is speculation.  they can speculate about endometriomas, and for example severe endo can cause kissing ovaries so it will show up on an MRI as one mass stuck together.  if the doctor is not understanding of the disease they will not know but if an expert in this disease looked at the results of the MRI they would know right away.

Two doctors said they think thats what it is, but my gyn just put me on a stronger birth control and told me to see if that gets rid of the pain, but I'd like to know what's causing it instead of just using bc pills, especially if it is endo, then I hear you should be on the pill cintinuously so you dont get a period. Ugh, I'm just fed up with doctors not caring anymore!!

Not sure. I know that an MRI scan is a total body scan so it could be possible. I too am being looked at to see if i have Endometrisois. Im devastated as im trying to conceive and have been wondering why i havent fallen pregnant yet. Have they told you that you have it or do you think that you have it?
