New here: 3 weeks post-op

Hello. I'm new to this board. I was diagnosed with advanced endo in May 2009 after diagnostic laparoscopy.  I was referred onto another doctor to do surgical laparoscopy with the DaVince Robot which I had 3 weeks ago this Tuesday. During a 2.5 hour surgery, doctor removed a lot of endo & adhesions.  My uterus, ovaries & tubes were adhered to the rectum. I also had bilateral ureter involvement.  He was able to free up my ovaries & tubes.  He did a pelvic ablation.  Also did a hysteroscopy where he accidentally perferated the uterus due to cervical stenosis.  The hole in the uterus was very small per his remarks.  The D&C, which I also had done in May, still shows complex hyperplasia.

I returned to work 2 weeks & 2 days following the surgery with restrictions of not picking up anything weighing more than 10 pounds, filing or bending.  These restrictions were put in place after complaining of ongoing pain from sitting upright in a chair.

I had 5 incisions and the lower right incision had very bad bruising which appeared later in the week following the surgery. That has since resolved itself.  Now, I am experience sharp like jabbing pains on & off in my lower right abdomen, mostly when I'm sitting.  My fear is that it might be my appendix having some issues. Mabye all that surgery upset the appendix??

Has anyone had this issue?  Is it possible to have appendicitis as a seperate issue after laparascopy?

I know it can take a long time to heal. I was starting to feel better a few days ago and now this. It's upsetting.
I just don't want to go running to the ER for nothing.

Thanks,
Amy

Appendicitis and Endometriosis have a high correlation rate, I concur with the other posters, get it checked out.

When they went in for me, my appendix was irritated, but they didn't want to take it out to cause more scaring.  So, it's definitely a possiblity.  I would get checked out and tell your doc. your concerns.
