New to endo and the site

Hello....last wednesday i drove to myself to the emergency room thinking i had appendicitis, sorry if spelled wrong, i wont go into the whole story, but the end result was surgery for a cyst removing the right ovary and a portion of my fallopian tube...after the laproscopic removal i learned that i have endometriosis as well as a fybroid (?) on my uterus?  I am in a great amount of shock as well as clueless...i have my follow up appt next friday and was looking for any advice on questions i should ask my doctor?  Thanks is advance ladies.....and this seems to be a great forum, i have come to know a lot more just by reading a lot of your advice!!!

Hello ...I am new to the borad to but not new to endo! Questions for the doctor should be things like about the pain mangament...do you plan to have children because endo can cause infertilily ....vitamins you can take to avoid taking any kind of hormone...mainly talk to your doctor about lifestyle changes and whats is really going on with your body. Its really scary at first not knowing what you are facing...make sure you unsure everything the dr tells you dont be afraid to ask the dr to explain things better this is your body. Oh my gosh thank you!  

i didnt realize that it was this serious!  I have one child.  Not sure if i am done or not, so i think i need to make sure that is clear,  And hormones???  For what?   O i am getting so nervous.  Anyone recommend a link to read up more for me?  Thank you!
