Pain-Need advice

I've posted a few things about how i have endometriosis (early stages) and that my doctor did an ultrasound and discovered a cyst the size of an orange.  I go back this week in hopes that it decreased in size, but the past few days and especially today, i have a lot of lower back pain, pain around my pelvic/groin bone and down my left leg (cyst is on the left side).  What are the chances this is all from the cyst?  I'm trying not to let things go to my head, but the way i feel is not normal.  It is going to be so hard to wait until wed to find out what is going on w/me.  I overall don't think i've slept wrong that can sometimes cause back pain.  The pain is a dull pain around my ovary and not sharp like last week, so that is leading me to believe the cyst decreased.  I just don't know what the back/leg pains are from.  It's so annoying that it is bothering me sitting here at work.  Please any help will be appreciated.  I wish i had a crystal ball to know what is going on.

What did the Lupron do with your sister?  I am curious, cause my doctor is talking about that with me.  As far as the depo, I still had the pains, but just not as often.  I had alot of bad headaches.  But i think right now i could live with the headaches and not all of this other pain.  I am not against the depo, i think it helped alot, but as soon as i was off, it was pain city again, i mean just in a matter of weeks i was having alot of cramping and i am now going on 7 months with out and still no period.  Good luck with your cyst, i do hope all goes well.  Let me know what the doc says, if you dont mind.  TTYL, Misty

my sister has stage IV as well, but lucky for her, she has no pains.  the only effect it has had is that it took longer for her to get pregnant.  my doctor has mentioned lupron and depo before, but i remember watching what my sister when through on lupron and it freaked me out that at this point, i won't give it a try.  so we'll see what happens w/this cyst tomorrow.  part of me wouldn't mind having the surgery to scrape out any endo and then hopefully i can have some pain-free time before we discuss having another child.  good luck with the surgery.  i feel for you that you have to have another surgery and it's only been 3 months.  how did you feel about the depo?

My last surgery was 3 months ago, the recovery was horrible for the first 2 days after, but after that, everything got back to normal, then two weeks later, it all started again.  I have stage IV.  I have been dealing with severe lower back pain for two months and it just keeps getting worse, and the normal pain in my vaginal area and some pain there like never before.  I know how you feel with irregular periods, or well, when i was having them, i have not had a period in 3 years.  2 of those years i was on depo and now its just not coming.  My next surgery is this thursday.  I go today for my preop.  I do hope all goes well, but right now, it's kinda just wait and see.  Good luck to you as well!!

i too have a 2 year old daughter and i hear ya about taking the pain meds when you have to chase them around the house.  how bad is your endo?  5 years ago when i had the surgery i was told it was the beginning stages (my mom and sister both have it), but i don't know where it is at now.  i've also had very irregular periods and i'm on the pill.  this past time i was bleeding for 2 weeks when last month it was only for one day.  today i feel a little bit better, but as i'm sitting here at work, something feels weird on the left side.  how was the recovery from your surgery?

Hello!! I know exactly where your coming from with the back pains.  I to have a cyst on my ovaries and was told at first this was causing all my pain, then over time, my doctor sent me to another doctor and he did CT scan, MRI and X Ray, only to find out it was from my endo, i just had surgery 3 months ago and will be going in again on Thursday for surgery #7.  I was on the depo shot for 2 years and since i have been off for six months now, i have had nothing but problems with my endo.  As far as what to do for the pain, i dont know, pain meds do nothing for me, but i have to watch what i take because i have a 21/2  year old and i dont need to be out of it with her.  My husband works offshore, so when he's at work, i kinda just have to deal with it and i will tell you, it's hard.  Maybe with the pain not being as bad, your cyst has gone down in size.  Let me know how your visit goes and i wish you all the best.

Hi sorry for the pain you are going through. I found out I had endo when I was 17 and I am 25 now and I was having pain in my back as well and that is what I had went to the doctor for but xrays and test come back neg, so my mother had asked the doctor if it could be endo he said possible since my grandmother, mother and sister had it. So we went to see my mother's gyn and he done a liproscopic surgery and found out I had it and pretty bad. So your endo may be acting up or coming back (if they done the things to try to keep it dried up, like birth control, etc). My younger sister was having those problems as well she had a cyst on her ovaries and then they done a liproscopic surgery on her to remove the cyst and found out she had endo as well. So you may want to talk with your doctor. I hope I was able to help some what.
