Pain excalates (a week after laparoscopy)?

It's been exactly seven days since my laparoscopic surgery (in which endometriosis on my bladder was removed).  I was having a normal recovery, it was improving each day and the incisions were getting better.  But last night I was awoken from sleep at about 4:30 in the morning with some nasty pelvic pain (comprable to what I feel when I get my period).  It was extremely uncomfortable and really hurt.  I managed to get back to sleep but woke up with the same pain a couple hours later, and now here I am today, still with the same pain!  It really feels like the period pain I normally get, but I have no bleeding.  Is this normal?  I thought things should feel better now? What should I do?

I would maybe call your nurse.  After a week my pain was gone except for the incision pain.  I am still having issues with the incision on the left side though.  It does not seem to have healed right.  I keep getting white scab type things on it that come off and then it bleeds.  My surger was about 2 months ago now!  If that's not better by my u/s Friday I am asking about it for sure!

Definitely call your nurse though, that pain just does not seem right to me.  Hope it gets better hun!

Thanks for the advice!  That stinks about your incisions, I'll keep an eye on mine to make sure that doesn't happen to me.

So should I be concerned about this pain?

I'm not real sure.  My pain didn't last real long after my surgery and I know that it can be different for everyone.  The fact that it's comparable to period pain makes me wonder if maybe you could just be getting your period soon.  I don't necessarily like the fact that it's waking you up though either.  I would call on it just to be safe.

Definitely keep an eye on the incisions too, mine has become a total annoyance!  lol
