Pelvic Adhesion Pain

Hi all,

I have been suffering for 7 years with chronic pelvic pain and have been told that the only option is a hysterectomy.
I have a 7 year old daughter & have been told by gyno that adhesions formed from an infection during childbirth. To cut a long story short after trying for another baby and tests i found out both fallopian tubes were blocked so had a course of IVF but miscarried at 7 weeks. We stll have 5 frozen embryos. The following year i collapsed in agony and was rushed to hospital with an ectopic pregnancy where docs removed my right tube. I have had endless appointments and given no pain killers and have just been told that a hysterectomy is the only answer. I am 34 years old.
I asked if adhesions were from endometriosis as i have all symptoms, but was told not endometriosis.
Every middle of month (Bang in the middle of ovulation) I suffer the most excruciating pain wher i double over and cant stand straight, i feel the pain with every step i take. My sex life is in ruins and after intercourse i am in pain for days. I feel depressed as i cannot take part in activities like i used to, it is interfering with my work and home life and i feel like nobody understands. I would be very interested to hear from anyone else with the same symptoms and their views on the matter.
Thank you for listening x

I understand. I saw 5 different OBGYN's before I found one that would actually listen to me. Find another Doctor. Finally when I found this last dr they did laprascopic surgery to confim I had endometriosis....and guess what I had a severe case of it. They took out what they could closed me up ....I tried for another 6 months to have a baby with no luck then went on fertility treatments which finally lead to invitro and now I am 15 weeks pregnant....so so sick form very bad morning sickness but they say that when you are pregnant that sometimes it cures the endo....so far no problems (because I havent gotten my period). Bottom line find a docotor who will really listen to you.

PLEASE,PLEASE get a NEW GYNECOLOGIST and a PROPER DIAGNOSIS!! You do not have a PROPER diagnosis so how can HYSTERECTOMY be the answer?????? Your doctor is guessing and you will pay the price! You are 34 yrs old and still want babies so PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR DREAM JUST YOUR CURRENT DOCTOR!!! I have abdominal adhesions from a 15 yr old nephrectomy scar (had my kidney out) which have caused a situation called "small bowel obstruction" and am in constant pain and discomfort. I have ditched a gynecologist I had from age 24 to 39 to get one who understands me when I say IT IS NOT REPRODUCTIVE PROBLEMS!!! the idiot I got rid of wanted to remove my tubes and put me through IVF I am 44 yrs old IVF is not an option as the succes rate for my age is 15-20% and since removing my tubes was unnecessary so was IVF. My new gynecologist believes I'm right about the abdominal adhesions and with the urologist who took my kidney out we have truly begun looking at my REAL PROBLEM!  BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR BELIEF IT"S ENDROMETRIOSIS AND GET AWAY FROM YOUR CURRENT GYN, THIS DOCTOR IS YOUR PROBLEM, YOU ARE NOT GETING ANY TRUE HELP FROM THEM!!!
