Period after lap

I am 2 weeks post op from a lap with a baseball sized endometrioma removed from rt ovary.  I was feeling better un til 2 days ago when I started having throbbing pain.  I am due for my period could this be why?  Can anyone share what to expect with 1st pd after lap?   Also any success with ttc after lap?

Thanks!!!!

I too had a lap to remove a huge endometrioma and several other things.  When my cycle came on I was expecting it to be really light but, the surgery didn't change anything for me.  I still had large blood clots.  I don't remember any real bad pain though.  However, for my endometrioma the doctor removed the entire tube.  So maybe that had something to do with my lack of pain versus your pain.  Don't know.

Hi Jess!

I had 1/2 of my right ovary removed a few years ago now... my last lap was in January all for endo and cysts or endometriomas. My last lap I bled for a few days which was normal but then I didn't have AF - I was late in my cycle. My RE "triggered" my period... But they did say the bleeding could have been my period. I didn't think there was any way that could be possible since it would have been around my O time when I got my lap done... I don't know!
Anyways in Feb. 2006 I had a lap done, tried a natural cycle that month and no success. I went to my RE in March did only IUI with no drugs or anything and got my BFP!!! This time around we haven't been so lucky.... We started ttc again May 2007 - went back to RE in September and started Clomid and IUI's.... still nothing. I had one BFP two cycles ago but it resulted in early m/c :( I took this cycle off though - busy schedule and DH has leg surgery tomorrow (my CD 12!) so ..... hopefully when I go back on meds, taking the month off will sort of "reboot" my system.... We'll see!!!

Good luck and keep me posted. Feel free to PM me anytime. I'm always willing to answer any questions or if you need to vent, rant, rave, cry or whatever!!

Hugs :)
