Hi everyone, I'm new here- I was diagnosed with endo about 4 years ago, (I'm 25) and I just had my fourth laparoscopy about 1 month ago. I've had 1 a year, even after 2 bouts of Lupron (one was 6 months long, the other time I did it for 3 and said enough was enough I couldn't tolerate the side effects.) I also did continuous birth control for a few years. I had a colonoscopy last year also, and the Dr. said my intestines were kinked/twisted due to endo. Since this last surgery, I've been having sharp pelvic pain, and pain with bowel movements. They did find endo pretty much everywhere (ovaries, tubes, back of uterus), and my left ovary was attached to my intestines. The pain has me doubled over at times, and my Gyno (who performed all my surgeries) said that at this point I shouldn't be having any post-op pain, and suggested that I may need another colonoscopy. Has anyone had similar experiences? I see a specialist for the first time next week, who is certified in advanced operative laparoscopy, although after this experience I'm very apprehensive about having another surgery anytime soon. I'm just dumbfounded and seriously stressed out because I had such high expectations since I've found great relief from my previous surgeries, even though the relief lasted less than a year, even with hormone treatments, etc. I also started keeping a pain tracker on here, and I'm going to take that to the specialist next week. I'm missing too much work, at this point I'd almost be willing to consider hysterectomy, not that that would probably fly with my Doctors since I'm only 25. Thanks for any advice/suggestions!
