Problems after surgery

4days post laparoscopic surgery, had helica to endometriosis, left ovary freed and loaded bowel freed, since surgery ive not being able to open/empty my bowel properly and im having increasing lower left abdominal pain and shooting groin pain, abdomen is also very noisy, I don't like to pester my surgeon/consultant/GP but I am worried about a partial bowel obstruction or something similar or am I just worrying for no reason?

Hi sorry just read your post. How did you get on?

Your symptoms have the potential to be of concern. I hope though this was not the case for you.

Following abdo or pelvic surgery experiencing flatus etc are all indicators that the bowel is returning to normal function...

However experiencing the symptoms described at 4 days postop are not. Your symptoms should be settling not increasing nor worsening.

No this is actually quite normal for endo surgery. It took me 6 days and that was with stool softeners and laxaday.

Have you gone since you last posted this? I want to assume you have but let me know :)

Call your doctor.  Say your bowel is blocked.
