Sever endo

hi All,

I am diagnosed for grade 4 endometriosis in 2014 during my laproscopy and dye test, after that I was on ivf and all 3 times it failed, since then I was not having any medication. Yesterday I had appointment with my gynec and she told me that I should go for laparoscopic excision which can take 4-5 hours and I am worried of that. She also told me to try againe for ivf after that surgery. Till that she put me on " visanne" some progestoren tablets for 6 month. Which I will start in couple of days. Kindly please advice about this surgery and about this medicine effects ????
Thanks

Hi tickled,

Thank for reply. I am living in Sydney and my gynec is off specialist. I went for my tubal check as I was finding hard to conceive and that time speculum was not able to insert in me so my gynec told me that we will do laproscopy and will do dye test, that time actually she found out that I have severe grade 4 endometriosis. She drained cyst and clean it what is visible but she is not surgeon. This time she said that we have great endo specialist and they works in team so she can write referral letter so I can see them and have detailed laparoscopic surgery so I can try another Ivf as I am just 36. I  read all your blogs and it's informative. I would like to have his surgery because I don't want that my organs damage more in endometriosis inside. So better they clean it and I can start medicine to control hormones.
Thanks

I can tell you right now I am impressed with the word Excision and how long she thinks the surgery will be. Would she be doing the surgery? If so what is your surgeons name? She sounds like she is fluent in the Endo language which is a huge positive unless she works with someone who is which also is great.

My excision surgery was 5 hours along and I had a lot done (Stage IV as well). You can read my profile as I have many posts regarding my surgery as well as Visanne. My blog link is there as well and one of my most popular posts is the one about my experience with Visanne. I lot of people have commented on their experiences as well.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
