Surgery-Back Pain

I just had my 4 lap on December 5.  I should be an old pro at this by now but I have a question.  I have been having pretty severe low back pain since the surgery.  At first I thought I was just having radiating pain and feeling it in my back instead of my stomach.  But the back pain has not improved, in fact it seems to be getting worse.  By the end of the day I can barely walk.  Has anyone developed back pain after this surgery.  I have never had back pain, except when I was pregnant, and am wondering if this could be a complication from the surgery.  Thanks for any input!

Wow seeing that we all had back pain is crazy.  Like I said before this was my 4th lap and I have never had that before but it did go away but it was horrible.  I couldn't even walk well.  My doctor told me it was probably a muscle spasm from the position they had me in during the surgery and I took a muscle relaxer at night for 3 days and was fine so I think they were right.  If anyone else has this I would recommend that.

Hi

I had a laparoscopy last week and had severe back pain for 4 nights running and i never have back problems.  My gyno checked me for kidney infection, UTI but all clear.  The pain went away thank goodness but yes, I did have back pain from about the 4th to 8th day afterwards.

Hi there,

I had a laparoscopy on January 12th and I have expreienced pretty severe back pain as well.  I do have a prior back problem so there is a possibility that it may be due to that but I am not sure.  I have a scoliosis, however, I do not usually experience the pain I have since the surgery.

I hope this may help

No havn't had severe back pain after the surgery. I would suggest that you go back to your doctor, when do you go back to get your stiches removed? maybe you can see him them!
