Well, they knew about the cysts from ultrasound, and about the tumors from tumor markers, but when they went in for the lap they faced with the real problem. It was very serious because there was blood tickening from the cysts and it was chaos! My surgery supposed to be one hour to one and a half in the worse case, and it lasted 5 hours! I was happy to survive, because if the lap was just one day after it might be the end. :-( So, ultrasound is one, but when they go "inside" that's it when they realise the real problem.
I completely understand about the emotional problem. I am different person since I had passed all the problems and took all that medications. But it's hard for those people who didn't had that kind of experience to understand that and that is even more frustrating... :-( The biggest problems that I have are related with the patience. I was so calm person and I was putting up with everything and now I can't stay calm and I loose my nerves very quickly. And I also can't stand noise! I became alergic to noise! Oh, those crazy hormones! :-)) It's not simple and it's not easy, but we must deal with it. And when there are close people that understand us even a little bit, everything is so much easier....
Thank you for your response. I tend to have really negative reactions to BC so I don't take any. I do have one daughter so I was able to get pregnant once. Did they know you had the cysts and tumors from the ultra sound or did they find out when they went in for the lap?
I find that my emotions are on the fritz right now. I feel like I'm always at work and the people there are always fighting. I'm sick of the fighting and the managers don't like that I don't want to work with people who are fighting. It's hard for people to understand that someone who doesn't feel good and has reproductive problems is going to be more emotional.
Hi. I am 24 years old and I got my period when I was 10, and had big problems with endo (had a lap done almost five years ago), so there are similarities between us, and I wanted to write to you. :-) However, my case is more complicated, because I also had tumor on my right ovary and bad tickening, chocolate cysts on my left ovary... My right ovary was removed during lap, Since then I have problems with my left ovary and I am treating it with medications. I am on Yasmin for five years, one period of time I was on Zoladex, after I had a punctuation done for my left ovary (because I didn't want to go on another lap), so I experienced an early menopause, that period was awful, the worst period of my life! Yasmin works ok, I will take them until I decide to get pregnant (and that's strongly recomended from my doctor and other doctors).
I just wanted to share with you my experience, so you may find it useful.
I hope that your lap will be successful and that you woun't have any bigger problems! If you want to know anything, be free to ask. Have a nice day and take care!
