Whats a recommendation when it comes to zoladex or surgery?

am a 23 year old female with severe endometriosis. I have had two lapyroscopys already by the age of 22. I have tried lupron before and since i am bipolar and am currently on antidepressants, the lupron had very adverse effects. It counteracted my antidepressants and i actually ended up in the mental unit of the hospital for 7 days for suicidal thoughts. That then lead to my second surgery. Fast forward to now. I have had severe pain for the last three weeks (9 and 10 on pain scale) where im always doubled over and crying. I not only need the pain to get better for obvious comfort, but I also have been out of school for three weeks and desperately need to to back. I was offered two options. Both difficult and iffy. Surgery or zoladex. This would be my third surgery causing lots of buildup of scar tissue and could have serious complications. Then there is zoladex, a medication that is similar to lupron and may have the same effect on my antidepressants which i just recently sorted out again. It could also take more time for the pain to go away than a surgery. Im at a loss and would love to hear reccomendations to base my decision off of.

What I can tell you is that anything hormonal is just a bandage hiding the disease.

The only way to combat this disease is to have the disease excised out. Which means to cut from the root. Most obgyn do not and should not be operating on anyone with endo because it is a multi organ disease and they are not trained in that nor do they have the skill and knowledge like an Endometriosis specialist. They will miss endo because they don't know the colours, the shape, and also being able to make sure all microscopic endo is removed.

That being said I want to assume that you have had 2 surgeries with a regular gyno, is that the case?

If so I would recommend seeing an Endo specialist. Most women in the UK are given Zolodex is that where you are from? Either way let me know and I can get you some names of some reputable surgeons in your area.

I too have the same problem with the HRT however I don't have bipolar I have major depressive disorder with Complex PTSD so suicidal thoughts and depression tore me to pieces on Lupron and Visanne.

I hope that helps some.
