Will my stomach go back to normal after laparoscopic surgery?
A week ago I had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically. I was never over weight to begin with. (5'8 around 150 lbs.) I had a flat stomach. After the surgery of course I was bloated a lot and my stomach was huge! I can see the swelling and bloating going down but it's been a week and I'm worried it will never go back to it's original flatness. I might sound vain asking but will it? It's actually upsetting me a lot. Thanks for any input! :)

They pump air in your belly for that procedure, right? It might be worth a call to a nurse to see how long you can expect your body to take to process it out. Seems that should have been on your discharge orders.
