Lupron is a drug that is sometimes used to help treat endometriosis. It will put a body in instant menopause and then to help with the side-effects of going into menopause doctor will order a tiny amount of norethindrone and estrogen. (My doctor says it is the equivalent of torture not offer add-back with lupron.)

The only use I have ever heard about with norethindrone is as add-back with lupron and that is in miniscule amounts.
