can adhesions in the tubes be caused by endometriosis?

i had a laparoscopy on wednesday i was told the surgeon had removed adhesions but i have no idea how i got these or how they started. I have never had open surgery before, could these be from endometriosis? I was told to continue ttc but my best option now was IVF can some of you share your experiences

thanks annie he said my tubes were to thin and with the adhesions the dye was dribbling through he never mentioned anything about endo, he said because they just got my tubes cleared i could have lost the right one which is why he thinks IVF is my best chance of conceiving though there is a small percentage i'll conceiveon my own

The adhesions can be caused by anything that irritated the tissue.  Endometriosis, infection, illness such as pelvic inflammatory disease, even STDs.  I'd ask the doc to understand why he thinks IVF is your best choice, is he saying the tubes are blocked?  Or that the fimbria are not near the ovary?  And then assess what he is saying, and go forward from there.

I think it's possible because the gyn doctor who did my hysterectomy said my bladder was folded and stuck to my uterus with the sticky stuff (endometriosis).

About your surgery: Laser burning of endometriosis can be much more likely to cause more adhesions than excision of endometriosis, so I hope they did not laser burn at all when removing your adhesions.  The body looks upon the laser burned material as foreign, I 've read, which is why greater adhesions can develop.
