constant bleeding (and pain) on the pill

constant bleeding (and pain) on the pill

I had a laparoscopy on march 22nd, and since the beginning of march i've been taking Yasmin (i've tried loestrin 24 and lo-ovral previously but each failed, causing extreme constant break through bleeding, causing me a lot of pain, and acne as well).  I take four packs of yasmin before doing a week of placebos.  Towards the end of the second pack I starded having occasional light break through bleeding.  Now I am beginning my fourth pack and I now have a painful and constant flow, it has just been increasing through time.  Why does this keep happening?! My next appointment with my doctor is a follow up in august...should I wait until my follow up to talk about this problem, or should I call my doctor now? I don't know what to do! I'm tired of having pain!

I understand that I'm still going to have some pain regardless, because they couldn't get rid of all of my endometriosis (as some was present on my ureter), but I'm just really annoyed that I don't get pain relief due to all of this extra bleeding!

Anyone have any advice for me?! I don't know what to do :/ I'm only 19 I want my normal life back!

Sounds like what I've been through with birth control! Ugh, I hate those pills lol!! You may need a higher estrogen dose of pills - usually the lower estrogen ones are the culprits for all the breakthrough bleeding. BUT, you may also be the type of person whose body just can't deal with synthetic hormones (I can't either...). Your best bet is to see an actual endo specialist especially since you are 19. I would go ahead and schedule an appt. with your doctor now since constant bleeing can cause you to be anemic and that comes with other problems of its own...
Seeing a specialist is your best bet to get rid of all your endo and leading a normal life (what is that lol??!!). Instead of using laser vap to burn only the suface of the endo - that's what regular surgeons and GYN's do - anyways, a specialist will excise all endo spots with the surrounding tissue and all suspected spots. They are highly educated and trained to do meticulous work for hours in delicate areas (even the ureters where you still have it). Seeing a specialist will also help you preserve your fertility. I'll share a link with you - it's the endo specialist I saw back in March '11 and had surgery with. There are about 10 maybe 13 specialist within the U.S. I traveled over 700 miles for mine!! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me either on the thread or by messaging me. Good luck and keep me posted!!
