If you have a hysterectomy done will the endometriosis be gone for good? Or can it still come back?

Hysterectomy can only remove the endometriosis confined to the uterus which is called as adenomyosis. For ovarian endometriosis you may also require removal of the ovaries. For endometriosis at other sites like the peritoneum or ligaments, medical therapy will be necessary. Consult your gynaecologist.
