There are four different stages with endometriosis. Stage 4 is the most severe, 3 is moderate, 2 is mild, 1 is few.  I have stage 3. However I have not had any symptoms(im 27).  Some women have alot of pain, and some it doesnt affect them as much.   Usually endo isnt confirmed unless a laproscopy is done. That is when the doc makes incisions in your belly and laser the endo off.  After my lap was done, my doc put me on a med call lupron( this supresses the eno that she couldnt get to). Also birth control is used to control the endo from growing back. Your gyno will probably do another ultrasound, and maybe want u to have surgery.  If you are planning on having kids in the furture,( i suggest u talk to him about this).  Also the birth control will help shrink cysts on your ovaries. If you are in alot of pain, then they make give u pain killers.

I am still learning more about this disease, so hopefully i was to some help. Good luck with everything..   Maggie

To: Jessie,
I had a hysterectomy with Lt. ovarectomy 2 yrs ago because of 4th stage endometriosis. I'm sick now again and my original Gyn retired after my surgery. I now am seein a new Gyn and told him I have history of endo with a mass on my ovary now. He suggest its just a cyst but we don't have all the records to make a complete decision on what or how big it is. I've been not feeling well for 2 months now and sick to my stomach at times. I'm also on pain meds but it doesn't cut it all the way. My doc mentioned something of an Endrioma if my Endometriosis is back and how big it is. If anybody has heard of that one let me know.
Good Luck,
Colleen
