endrometriosis please help!!

hi there,
ive suffered for 8 yrs of pain and eventually docs have done something bout it and sent me to have a laproscopy done and found out i had a bit of endometriosis.. i had it lasered off there and then and recovered from that quite quickly. for about a month it was all fine, no pain, and even sexual intercourse was soo much better no pain what so ever but after that month it all started bk again, pains and pain with sexual intercourse.. it gets that bad that i cant have a sex life and even if i do try i just end up in tears... does that mean that i have more endometriosis come bk.
also recently ive been having alot of abdominal pain that i never really suffered from b4 that not just low dwn pain it can be all over my stomach and back cramps.. and ive also been having some discharge with streaks of red blood in (sorry TMI) is this endometriosis that is causing this?? im new to this endometriosis and trying to get my head around it..
also after i seen consultant after saying i was diagnosed with it i wasnt offered any treatments or anyhting on how to cope with it or what to do..
is there any 1 out there that could reccommend whats the best option to go for. im only 25 i have a 2 yr old son and i dont want to have a hysterotomy cuz i would like more children..

Try depo provera on cycles of every 2 months, i have been on this for a year and a half and it has helped me a lot with a lot less side affects than all of the others i have tried.

I would suggest taking it continuously to prevent menstruation.  It will suppress it until you want to have your child.  I think that would be your best option, just not sure if the one you are is the right one for endometriosis.

Do you take the pill continuously or with the placebo pills?

I took the pill right after my surgery and I have had no pain up until recently and I think it was due to the PID that I contracted not the endo.

I am on a low dose one called Marvelon21 not even one of the ones they recommend for endo either.

It has worked wonders and I only get breakthrough bleeding twice a year.

It has its downs as I recently am starting to feel the effects of the pill however it is better then the pain i was in with the cramps and rectal pains.

Let me know what pill you are on and how you take it.

Different meds work for different people, and if you have a good surgeon it makes a huge difference when it comes to suppressing your endo

See a specialst :-) Go to www.hystersisters.com - click forum and scroll to endometriosis support. Click on that and then scroll down to the second thread titled Endometriosis Specialists and see if there are any in your area or somewhat close to you - I traveled over 500 miles to see one... Good luck to you!!

Okay so what I would do is google an endometriosis specialist in your area.  The doctor that did your surgery obviously knows nothing about endo.  Then ask your GP to refer you to them, if thats how it works where you live.

You should have been put on something right after surgery to suppress the endo or for sure it will grow back.

If you need any help finding a doctor let me know :)

Did the doctor not tell you to go on the pill continuously after your surgery to suppress the endo, or talk to you about Lupron (which I am not endorsing)?

If you dont suppress the endo it will just continue to grow back
