for all the ladies, pls help!?

Can anyone tell me whether they feel a difference in pain and cramping, between large instestine/colon cramps and period cramps? Do they feel similar or the same or are they completely different? I guess the cramping would be located in different areas?  To me it feels like the same type of pain...  I am just trying to figure out whether it's my IBS or endometriosis causing my pain.

My cramps is mostly on the lower left side, but was wondering, would my cramps on the lower left side of the pelvis be caused by the ovary or colon if one wasn't on their period?

I totally feel a difference in intestine/period cramps. The intenstine ones tend to be sharp, stabbing pains and the period cramps tend to be throbbing (if that makes any sense). Crappy thing is they happen right all in the same area, and can send other organs/muscles in to spasms which make it hard to distinguish where the pain is really coming from. Hope this helps a bit...
