just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with it, ive been in constant pain for a year been to emergency room to many times which they have done nothing my pelvic and stomach pains have been so bad that i can't walk to far and have constant back pain, fatigue, nausea . i have been diagnosed with endo when i was 17 along with pcos. i have bowel symptoms such as bloating.my last scan by a gyno consultant showed up several things but when i went to my normal gyno he wouldnt accept that. they put a mirena in me to stop the bleeeding plus the pill , which hasnt helped the pain i had PID and been suffering painful uti's .my mum decided to research and the symptoms i have matched those of infiltrated endo. just wanting to know how ppl dealt wirh it
I was in 2007. There is no way to tell I think unless you have a rectovaginal cyst. Most of the time they don't show up on any tests and only skilled surgeons know where to feel for them and how to remove them.
The recovery for DIE was painful. In fact excruciating.
Were you diagnosed through an exploratory lap?
Did you have PID before you had the Mirena in or after?
The only way to deal with Endometriosis is to have surgery to remove all endometriosis lesions completely leaving nothing behind because Endo lesion have endo within them and Endo is fed by estrogen.
In order for me to answer more I need to know if you have had a lap first to diagnose.
Hey haven't been diagnosed with infiltrated but going to see a new gyno in the next few weeks to see what she says or has opinion other than that of others otherwise back to my consultant who did my last scan which my ovary was stuck to my uterus he said to try this lady out otherwise he's going to try and lead me in the right direction I've had pid before and after mirena and constant complicated uti at the moment I can barely keep a lot of food down and everything from my back down wards hurts plus my boobs ache constantly
If you have PID you should not use the Mirena. That is what I was told by my Endo specialist however my other gyno that did my second surgery said it was fine. Think I will stick to what the Endo specialist said about it. :)
You said that you haven't been diagnosed with DIE but what about Endo itself?
Yes I have Endo and pcos . My old gyno put me on the mirena as I was having very heavy bleeds and pains and nothing else was working but I've had to go back on the pill with the mirena to stop bleeding but I'm in more pain I think I was with bleeding but bleeding left me more immobilized as I couldn't really leave home as it was so heavy
Oh sister, I am so sorry to hear of all your pain and suffering. I have not been officially diagnosed with endo but I have all the symptoms. I've had symptoms since I was 13. Try a change in your diet. It does not go away but it does decrease the pain. I did research and I have been trying it. The pain went from a 20 (on a scale of 1-10) to an 8. It is actually getting better. Some months its 5 and under. Very manageable. Message me is you want more info. All the best to you.
