is this normal

Hello. I have endometriosis... I had a laparoscopy and endo removed. It then returned so doc put me on combined pill.... I had bleed for 16 weeks. Bleed then stopped for about 2 months it has now started again for about 4-5 weeks is this normal

So that might be the problem. If it wasn't removed properly bleeding like this can occur.

Before I had my first surgery I was trying to get on a BCP just to not get pregnant at that time as I was 21 but no pill worked for me I just kept bleeding.

It wasn't until after I had excision then went back on the pill continuously it worked.

Do you have your surgery report? This is something you should have on hand as well as any other tests you have done. I would suggest maybe going to see an Endo specialist to see what options they can give you.

Are you taking the pill continuously ever single day without a break? If so and you do have a break when the breakthrough bleed comes, how long are you off it before you start taking it again? Usually breakthrough bleed is 3-4 months, break for a couple of days when there is break through bleeding then come off the meds for about 3 days and then start over again. You should get your period around 4 times a year doing it this way.

Did you have excision done? (Disease cut out) or lasered off?
