ultasound

I recently had an ultra sound scan and tranvaginal scan. The results have come back saying retroverted uterus measures  10 x 7.5 x 6.5 and there appears to be a 12mm fibroid. The endometrium is thickened at 2.4 cm (day 1 of cycle) In the left adnexa is a 4 cm unilocular cyst presumably ovarian origin. I am worrying my self sick as to what it all means. .

Well to calm you down a bit 99% of cysts are benign.

How old are you?

Did they mention endometriosis to you?

A retroverted uterus is normal but with my experience it has always meant endo for me. Scar tissue pulling on the uterus and what not. It is normal. Your uterus is a little bigger than normal and could possible be Adenomyosis which is a boggy uterus. Sometimes they remove the uterus but sometimes they dont. It really depends on each person and if there is pain associated with it.

What did your doctor say?

Thank you. I am 50 nearly 51. I have a follow up scan in 4 weeks. I don't really have any pain but I have noticed a burning sensation in my left abdomen which comes and goes. I am just so stressed out and shaking all the time. I also had a pipelle biopsy performed and I am waiting the results of that. Unfortunately this examination may have be unsuccesful as my os was closed! Endometriosis has been mentioned in passing but nothing has really been said even though I keep asking. I have just got my self into a state.

Im curious to know what your dr. has to say also! When will you know? Keep us posted...

From the little ive read I understand that the size of your uterus depends on your age and where you are in your cycle. I too have an anteverted uterus, as Ticked suggested, I have endo! And that Transvag u/s almost put me in tears!
