Abnormal EEG, Bitemporal Epileptiform

I just need to know what an "abnormal EEG due to the presence of bitemporal epileptiform activity" means. we are having issues getting someone to tell us what this means. is this something that can wait for his appointment in about a month or should we seek treatment somewhere else?
