1. CAN A PERSON BE SEIZURE FREE FOR SEVERAL YEARS WITHOUT MEDS?

-Yes. There are many cases where a person is weaned off of medications and has LESS seizures than they did when they were taking the meds.  Happened to a family member.

2. BECAUSE SEIZURE ARE CONTROLED MED FREE DO THAT STILL MEAN YOU'RE EPILEPTIC?

-Yes. Just because you have been seizure free for a certain amount of time does NOT mean that your EEG does not have a typical seizure pattern still- which is the test that DR's use to determine whether you are epileptic.  Even if your EEG reading doesn't look like that of an epileptic, you can still receive an epilepsy diagnosis which is with you for life.

3.ARE THERE ANY HOPE AS TO A CURE?

-Yes and No. I have done some reading up on stem cells, and cells from cord blood and there have been two successful cases of stem cells being used to permanently CURE two different brain injury cases- which were severe.  I personally believe the cure lies in stem cells- that's why it's important to vote for a particular candidate so that we can start doing research on tissue from terminated pregnancies.  It will save lives.

4.DOSE THIS MEAN THAT THE SEIZURES WILL HAPPEN MORE OFTEN?

-No. Just because you are not on meds does not mean the frequency or severity of seizures will change for the worse or better. You know that answer- you said you have been seizure free for 7 years, and you have not been on meds. Everyone is different, but only you can answer this question, as everyone is different. No two epilepsy cases are the same, ever.

5 DOSE THIS PERSON STILL HAVE CHANCE OF BEING SEIZURE FREE?

-Absolutely.  You have been seizure free for a notable amount of time- you are obviously doing something right. Keep doing what you are doing and hopefully you will remain free of seizures.
