Can a person get a tolerance to a particular dose of Dilantin?

I had my last seizure on 2/28/06 when I experienced a car accident. On August 20, 2009, I experienced another car accident and I am trying to find out the reason why. I am a very regiment person and I take my Dilantin regularly at the same time (5am) every morning. After the 8/20/09 accident my blood level was immediately taken and found 14.4. What gives? I'm right in the range, so maybe I just fell asleep. I had been taking the same dosages of Dilantin during that time period (3 1/2 years), so is it possible I had developed a tolerance for that dosage? My doctors have now increased my dosage and we will review my dosage on the yearly basis.

I was on dilantin for 15years, I know that every so often I had to have my dose increased even tho I was still within the range, I would have seizures so they would increase my dose.
