EEG Waves

by twitcher22, Sep 11, 2009 10:38AM
I've been seen twitching throughout my life - starting at 19 and now I'm 46.  However a couple of weeks ago I had a few what nurses thought were epileptic seizures.  I had an EEG done at 19 and when I was 39 and all it showed was immature alpha waves - not thought to be of any clinical significance.  Does any one know what immature alpha waves mean?  I've been started on phenytoin and waiting to get a diagnosis from a neurologist.  However I've also been diagnosed with a schizoaffective disorder but have been well for a number of years and wonder if the doc will lay the fits down to this.  Can any one help.
