Epilepsy & Keppra

Would a Dr start you on Keppra if he didn't think you had Epilepsy?   I did not sleep during my EEG so they did not see a seizure but did see sensativity to pattern the fastest light, so he started me on Keppra.  What is your opinion?  And we will do another EEG in 3 months.

hi, i guess a little of the same thing happened to me i suffer from migraines so my neuro. started an in office eeg and said he seen signs of seizure activity so then i had a 48hr. eeg and he said i was having seizures and didnt know i was so he presribed keppra so i get home and start reading anout on the net and the sideeffects are preety nasty so i havnt start taking it yet i said until i have a seizure that i notice myself i want take it well that was aweek and a half ago it was persribed two days ago i was rushed to the hospital for a seizure i am 28 and it scared the hell outta me but guess what those sideffects and peoples comments who have been on the drug still are making me think ten times about starting this keppra so i have a appt. with my neuro. to see if something else can be given to me with less sideffects cuz once you start it and start noticing the awful effects they have to weeyour body off before puting u on another med i know that was alot and probably only had alittle to do with your ? but im searching for answers also so when you find out more about your sittuation please let me know thanks for really listening cuz im not sure if i was of some help Lol...
