Epilepsy and impotence

by brie911, Jan 26, 2009 12:59AM
My husband has had epeilepsy since he was a baby, and is currently seizure free while taking Depakote ER.  Ever since I met him he has had sexual issues.  He rarely gets an erection, and when he does he cannot maintain it for sex.  He has only be able to actually ejaculate about 3 times in the 6 years I have known him.  I was wondering if anyone else has suffered from impotence or ED as a result of epilepsy or Depakote ER, and if so have you had any success with treating it?  It is very much putting a strain on our relationship.

Have you checked the PDR to see if that's a possible side effect of Depakote?
I dont think its any relation to epilepsy
