Outgrowing generalized seizures...?

Outgrowing generalized seizures...?

At almost twenty four months of age. He has been having SZS since he was six months old. So far all normal eeg's. and MRI showing temporal horn prominence bilaterally. He take VPA and does pretty well on it until he gets sick and then the meds dont have the same affect...He then will have breakthrough SZS. He wears a helmet due to numerous atonic SZS.
We are the guardians...as the birth mother was severly abused during her pregnancy...Man sat on her stomache, jumped up and own on her....Head butted her in belly....on and on....Wondering if this can be due to her being abused since it is not focal, but generalized and also what are the chances in out growing this?  I have asked these questions on here before, but never got an answer, so hoping that this timeI will!!!  Thank you so very much!!!

I am so sorry you are going threw this and for your little one.I know how hard it is.

have you lucked up different things that cause seizures.like lennox gastro syndrome
or  landow kleffner syndrome .

I do know that seizures can change and can have more that one kind of seizures as they get older or if things change around them.

sorry for not being to much help.

god bless you and your little one.
