Spinal Fusion Surgery and Seizures

I had fusion surgery 5 years ago(cervical) and have since developed bouts with shingles. I am now experiencing what I feel are seizures in the night. They start with shortness of breath, then my heart races and I go out and come back to within a short time. They do elevate my BP to around 150/100 and scare me terribly. Is this normal or should I be looking to something else at the problem?

Thank You!
