can pain trigger complex seizure epilepsy in an adolesent(adolescent)?

a few months ago I went to the doctor to get a shot and was fine until I went to leave. I blacked out during this part but my mother was with me and told me I was shaking perfusiously. I thought it was nothing then yesterday it happened again but worse. I was in the bathroom and my mother was doing that waxing lip crap (which we've done a billion times) and she pulled too hard and the little flappy thing between my lip and gums ripped. I was bleeding a lot and I started to get dizzy so my mom left to get a washcloth from the closet. this is when I blacked out again. when she came back into the room, I was unconscious and fell backwards into the shower curtains. I was shaking like crazy and was really stiff while my mom was trying to pick me up and she said she was screaming at me. I don't remember anything and regained conciousness once she got me upright. my mom thinks it was an epileptic seizure that is triggered by pain but epilepsy usually occurs in infants and adults and I'm 16. also as i've been researching I haven't found anyone who has had seizures triggered by pain. the only time anything remotely close to this happened to me was when I was 4. my cat attacked my thumb and was bleeding so I passed out in my moms arms when she was trying to wash it out. My mom made an appointment at the doctors but it's not until march. could this be epilepsy?

Just like flashing lights trigger seizures in some people, pain could be a trigger for you. And epilepsy can occur at any age, it doesn't only affect certain ages. There's not much you can do now except for avoiding pain as much as possible until your appointment where the doctor may be able to provide some answers. If it does happen again, you might want to go to the ER to make sure it's not something really bad.
Take care
