chest pain with seizures

hi

I have temporal lobe epilepsy for 2 years.  I started off on lamotrigine only now am on keppra and lamotrigine.

Keppra was introduced in December 10.  and seems to be controlling my seizures to some point.

However all of a sudden i ahve started getting lightheaded and getting more auras.

I also getting chest pain with my seizures.

Is this related to the seizures.

Hello!
Pounding racing heart, chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating are all common before seizures. They are usually symptoms of fight or flight during an adrenaline rush. If there is also heart burn associated then it can possibly be due to reflux oesophagitis.Chest pain itself can be an aura. An aura is an unusual sensation that warns a person that he will be having a seizure. Chest pain can be related to other causes too. It can be of cardiac origin. In that case you will need clinical examination and electrocardiogram. Seek medical help. Hope it helps.
Good luck!
