hi everybody ,
i went to my mri brain appointment.. they did that scan n found an abnormality. a white spot. according the doctor, its like a vein that is blocked .
in 2007, i did a scan in uk n they found an infarct. since then the doc never done anythg to find out..
my question is "wat is the connectiion with that white spot?"
how should i control it n myself?
my sister's fiance, a specialist, says its an old infarct.
Infarct means cell death due to lack of blood flow. The cells die due to lack of oxygen. Hardening of blood vessels, vasospasm all can lead to infarct. Infarcts can cause focal neurological deficits or transient ischemic attacks. If you have had no symptoms, that's good, but an old infarction may increase your risks for new infarction. It is best to discuss it with a neurologist. Hope it helps.
