how to recognize an infant seizure?
My DD has microcephaly and lacks the proper gyri on her brain.  We have been told to watch for seizure activity.  I am wondering what to look for.  Our Dr said that it would be a stare or jerking that we cannot initiate or stop.

The last couple nights when she has been trying to fall asleep, she has extended her neck back and gasped with a couple of series of this extension and gasping.  I am wondering if this is could be a seizure.

If I am not recognizing a seizure episode am I doing her a diservice?
