husband has had 3 seizures within 20 days

by Bek84, Sep 20, 2008 09:52AM
My husband whom is 29 years old has had 3 seizures in 20 days, never had any previous seizures, no epilepsy in the family... But only seem to be when he's sleeping.. Sleep seizures? Have had 3  brain ct scans, all show up clear... Had an eeg, showed up with confirmed epilepsy.... Had an mri and showed up with something too, but waiting to get the results of that... Has any one else started having seizures in their late 20's? Anyone else only had them while sleeping? He has been put on Dilantin, which seems to be working? Seizure free for almost a month now!!! I would just like to talk to anyone else who has experienced or is experiencing this now? Thanks, Bek

hi- well my daughter had a seizure at four from a high fever they thought... and not another one till 16 yrs. old Now she has epilepsy confirmed and is on depakote. Seems to be seizure free. But, whenever she had her best friend over to sleep, I guess she was seizing or almost, and was all over the bed moving around. After she had the big one- the friend said :oh, that must be what was going on. So she had been doing some kind of activity for awhile and we did not know it. The onset was sudden though. I remember how weird it seemed. Her is JME- juvenile myoclonic ep. Feel free to chat or send e-mail ok?
