new onset grand mal from shigella

i just had my first grand mal the other morning with 911 being called..i had been up all night in the bathroom was so weak and dehydrated from puking and diarhhea...several times i got tingles all over...i mean all over my body.. i laid down and woke up with the emt guys all around me..then blacked out again..my e.r. md said he thought i was leaning towards shigella  causing my grandmal..but im having an eeg today..my mri seizure protocol was normal..i want to know afterwards i cud not move my right leg at all....i cud feel it..but i cud not move it..i was really uupset about it  but no one seemedd to think it was a big deal....its fine now of course..i was just wondering if that was normal after a seizure...all the diarrhea has  passed but now my belly is still swollen and i have a major belching problem..they did a spinal tap on me that looked clear but he was sending it out for testing.....any advice for me or any info u can give me on this event in my life..??..i am educated..i do cat scans for a living....

Hang on. I know how scared you are. I wish that seizure episodes had more concert patterns and information available. Be cautious, but be persistent finding answers with this type of issue can sometimes take time.
