reading problem

Hi, I have had temporal lobe epilepsy for many years and is well controlled.  In the past few months I have been experiencing reading problems.  for example,  I read a word and its actually some totally different word.  I transpose numbers and letters.  I often have to go back a sentence to realise I havent read it properly and that it didnt make sense because I didnt see the commas and full stops.  I tend to take out the vowels and replace them with others or they are eliminated entirely.  I am 38 years old, and avid reader all my life and have never had this problem before.  its becoming very worrying.  I dont know if its old age, my epilepsy or something else.

Loubelle,
I have temporal lobe epilepsy as well. I know it can effect alot of different processes. With me it effects my short term memory, which my wife loves. :-)  I think the only way to find out for sure is give the old head doc a call and see what he/she thinks.
