rotating drugs

My daughter has refractive seizures that are only controlled for a short 'honeymoon" period when a new drug is introduced . Has anybody had experience with or know of a study where anti seizure drugs are given on a rotating regime so the "honeymoon" period is repeated hence better seizure control is experienced?

Hi,

Just so you know, the "honeymoon" phase is not uncommon with epileptic medication. It seems that the manufacturers have not yet discovered what causes this.

I do not know where they are doing a study, but it may help you to post your question in the expert forum. Here is the link:

Good luck.
