i have gran-mal seizures. my seizures started when i was around 9yrs old. my seizures were controlled to the point i was off my meds for about 2yrs. i was doing so good then my seizures started again. im like you i have one about every 2 years. i have had a seizure while driving . i use to feel i could never live a normal life. my advice to you is dont let your seizures control you take charge and control them . i learnt to have my bloodwork done at least 2 times a year to check my levels.i do have 3 healthy kids and all of them are seizure free. do you have any warning before you have a seizure? do you feel them comming on? my warnings are i feel out of it and very tired and weak. i have been on dilantin since i was a kid. i have explained to my kids about my seizures and showed them how to call 911. i hope this helps you but please dont let seizures control your life.
