Any advice....

Any advice....

So i was diagnosed with a passed exposure to EBV in the past 8 months, and i also found out i have a vitamin d deficiency, and a carnatine deficiency, and i also believe i have CFS, because of constant fatigue. My neurologist currently has me on Neurontin for the neurological issues (arms and legs tingling). I am also on vitamins. I have finally started feeling better in the past few weeks, but now i feel like im going down hill again. My main symptoms of my relapses are usually nausea (unexplained), vertigo, and uneasy feeling. I was on a medical leave for 4 months from school because of my first relapse which caused me to be bedridden. I have to take prochloraperazine (compazine), for the nausea everyday. I dont have sore throat or any normal signs of EBV, just nausea, dizziness, and uneasy feeling (feeling out of it, or not there). Anyone else have these symptoms or have any advice on what to ask neurologist? Thanks.

Krissy,

I have been battling EBV for the last 9 months and all of my symptoms are primarily neurological in nature. I don't have the "classic" EBV symptoms of swollen glands, sore throat, etc. I have a lot of tingling, numbness, ear ringing, blurred vision, floaters in eyes, etc. I have been through the ringer over these last few months. Trust me, you are not alone. My latest symptom is heat and cold sensations in different parts of my body. I have been to about 20 doctors and no one can seem to really find out what the problem is. None of them really understand or even acknowledge Epstein Barr Virus. Most of my symptoms resemble other neurological diseases that I don't care to mention. I hope you get to feeling better and please know that you are not alone.

I also have a low vitamin D level and had a low carnitine result as well. I hope that you will consider joining us in MedHelp's fibro/CFS forum. If you haven't already and would like to talk to other people with CFS, here is the link:
