If you have had positive EBV titers test and negative HIV test results, I don't think you need to worry about HIV; I realize that's easier said than done though. Are you seeing a doctor about this? If so, what has he/she told you?
I am having all the symptoms of mono-sore throat, headaches, fatigue, sore armpits, behind knees and behind ears, elbows off and on,brown spots on body since 7 months.I am so scared that I got HIV or something else.My HIv tests are neg., i have increased IGG of ebv.
I am wondering If I ever get better.
Please help
Once infected, EBV remains in the body for life in a dormant state..So anyone your age or older would have had it "longer" . The good news is that EBV does not cause life long symptoms. For some people, usually adolescents, EBV can cause Mononucleosis, a self-limiting disease marked by soar throat, swollen glands, fatigue, fever etc...Hope this helps
