EBV Count

I just called my doctor to ask about the EBV Count and they stated it is 3,173 is that really high? Any answers would be appreciated.

there should be 4 sets of numbers for a EBV test

Mine was IgG and it was 600+   30 Days later it was 600+    there should be like 4 tables with a Neg Range and Positive range   Like on mine the above number should have been between 15-30

Call the doctor's office and ask for a copy of your lab results. At your followup with the doctor ask for a detailed explaination of your results.

I have high EBV and CMV:
EBV Early Antigen AB IgG 280;
EBV AB VCA IgG 3013,
EBV Nuclear Antigen Ab, IgG 394
CMV Ab, IgG 13.2

What can they be related to except simply mono? any suggestions?

According to the lab and my doctor, it's real high for two of mine that came back, but there is not just one test, so I would ask about the other numbers and any of the other tests, if done.

What are your symptoms ? Unfortunately... these EBV titers aren't much help, but they are able to assist physicians when a patient has mono or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
