EBV

Just got informed I have EBV, they sounded like it was no big deal.  They said there was really nothing they could do about it except prescribe some good vitamins and get plenty of rest?  Is this contaigous and should I be concerned for my health?

I came up positve last month. I guess it really is not anything to worry about. My doctor just said that I was exposed to it at one time or another. I think it is the virus that causes "mono".

Really nothing you can do for EBV, at least from what I have read. I guess ours is dormant.

It is not contagious unless it is "mono".

I would follow your physician's instructions but if you are still having symptoms after 6 months and/or additional symptoms.... then you will need to take immediate action (IMHO) and rule out other illnesses and especially Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Remember to pace yourself..... rest..... relax and not to stress. If you are really concerned, consider seeing a Naturopathic physician who can recommend good immune boosters (Transfer Factor, olive leaf extract, etc.) for you.

Best,
