Ebv positive confused

My 13 year old daughter has been sick for month with headaches and fatigue the doctors ran many test her monospot came back negative but her ebv av vca  igg came back positive ( high >8,0 ) the test says posit is > 1.0
Ebb ac vca igm is 1.8 positive ( the range is >1.0 ) so both are high
Doc say it meant nothing but not so sure
Help pls

Thank you she is getting better,she was hospitalized last week and they ran more test. Waiting on results!

Hi, I would say your daughter has mono.  It's very possible to test negative for the monospot test, even when you have the virus; this is what happened for me (tested multiple times).  Since the EBV results are all positive, she obviously has Epstein Barr Virus, which makes it very likely she has mononucleosis.  I find it very strange that the doctor dismissed the high EBV titer results; I would say it/they are the most likely the cause of your daughter's illness.  I think it wouldn't hurt to get a second doctor's opinion, though.
