Mono & Anxiety?

Mono & Anxiety?

Here's a little background information. I'm a 21 year old male and about two months ago I started a strenuous summer job where we work anywhere from 5-20 hours a day in heat, only eating one or two meals a day while working.I have the feeling my immune system became severely drained from working all the time and poor nutrition. It felt like as the summer progressed my mind became more and more of a foggy mess. After two months I eventually reached a breaking point where I was experiencing sleeplessness (waking up every 30 mins to 1 hour) and having extreme depression/anxiety. I had obsessive suicidal thoughts, and this is what led me to seek medical help. Upon seeking help, my doctor administered a blood test and found the results to be mono positive.. This made sense to me because I started noticing a lymph node on my neck swelling about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I was just wondering if this is normal for EBV? I have anxiety and restlessness almost 24/7. My doctor prescribed me Celexa about a week ago for the depression, and since then I have had no suicidal thoughts. However, I still feel restless all the time. I never feel tired, and whenever I try and relax my mind to rest it seems to make the anxiety worse. The only sleep I get is from taking a 5 mg Zolpidem and even then I only get about 4 or 5 hours of sleep. I wake up in a state of panic attack where my heart is beating hard and I have somewhat difficulty getting a deep breath.

Anyway, I apologize ahead of time for the rambling and jumbling of my description. My thoughts are still jumbled a bit from lack of sleep.

I was just wondering, is this normal for EBV virus? If so, they say to rest but how am I supposed to rest when I am only getting several hours of sleep a night due to mind restlessness and anxiety? I appreciate the help, if you would like to know any more of my symptoms or anything feel free to ask.
